TIL Disable opening the native MacOS terminal

On a new Mac, the Cmd+Shift+A shortcut opens the Terminal app with the apropos search.

This overrides the Cmd+Shift+A shortcut in IntelliJ, which opens the Find Action dialog.

To disable the native shortcut:

  • Open System Preferences | Keyboard | Shortcuts | Services | Text
  • Disable Search man Page Index in Terminal
